Video by Lorraine Gallard Video installation, Streedagh sand, Bottles, Francisco de Cuellar?s letter, wishes. This video installation is about a journey made by one survivor of the Spanish Armada disaster in Sligo in 1588, Francisco de Cuellar, and a letter he wrote at the end of his trail sharing all his adventures. Using the bottle that symbolizes the hope that the message from the castaway will reach a destiny and someone shall read it and be able to help. Through this structure the goal is to set free the most inner thoughts, writing a message in a bottle, revealing secrets to someone if even to ourselves. This project is dedicated to my father.
